Virtual leadership is the concept of leading people when the leader and followers are not physically in the same place. The leadership process is carried out virtually via video conferencing or phone. The skill required in virtual leadership is different that it is needed in traditional leadership. In the virtual leadership scenario, the leader and the follower are not in the same geographical location and so there are high chances of communication gap and miscommunication. The communication can only be done via texts or calls. So virtual leadership calls for a set of predetermined rules and regulations for communication which will help to ease out the problems.
